Emily Jingyi Qiao (she/her) is the Co-Director of the Student Rights, Conduct, & Grievances Committee at GradGov. She is committed to advocating for the welfare of graduate students by fostering open dialogues with university administrators and enhancing awareness about student rights and conduct policies.
Previously, Emily interned at a leading global bank and securities company, where she enriched her finance and economics background through professional experiences. She has also worked as a student consultant on several project challenges in Australia, applying consulting frameworks to diverse technologies and analyzing marketing strategies.
Emily is pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy at Georgetown University and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University. Based in Washington, D.C., she actively participates in community ANC & engagement projects through the McCourt Policy Innovation Lab and champions inclusive policy reform by leveraging technology and implementing management that benefits communities. Originally from China, Emily brings a unique international perspective to her roles.
