Powell Sheagren is a Masters student in the Data Science and Analytics program in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. He is a San Diego local but a recent graduate from Swarthmore College where he studied Statistics and Political Science.
Outside of academic work, Powell volunteers for progressive organizations and campaigns and is very involved with organizations like WeVote and Bluebonnet data. In his spare time, Powell enjoys reading and knitting and is always excited to talk about both.
Powell is now pursuing a career in political data science and is looking forward to finding ways to combine his interests.
